27 MayLecture by researchers Tom Brughmans and Alejandra Galmés on new methodologies based on network analysis to understand the visual connections and relationships between sites. Brughmans is one of the world's leading specialists in the application of network analysis in archaeology. The speakers will compare case studies in the Himalayas and Caribbean islands with Talayotic Menorca. Part of the lecture will be in English with translation to Catalan.
Tom Brughmans is an associate professor at the Center for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet) at the University of Aarhus (Denmark). Alejandra Galmés Alba is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at INCIPIT - CSIC, and is part of the ArqueoUIB research group (University of the Balearic Islands).
