The two
concerts by Marco Mezquida to celebrate the first anniversary of Talayotic Menorca as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, organised by the Consell Insular de Menorca and the Talayotic Menorca Agency, were a complete success.
The Menorcan artist presented
Talaiot, his first composition for piano and symphony orchestra inspired by this Talayotic monument, for the first time on our island. Mezquida was accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears (OSIB), with Pablo Mielgo as musical director. Both the Teatre des Born in Ciutadella (28th September) and the Teatre Principal in Maó (29th September) were practically full to capacity, and nearly 250 people followed the concert at the Teatre Principal online, which was broadcast live on the
Consell Insular de Menorca's YouTube channel.
