16 MayThe 21st century presents a crucial moment for Menorca, where globalization and technological advances open new opportunities to transform the island’s productive model. It is increasingly evident that Menorca must shift towards a model based on knowledge, creativity, and innovation, integrating cultural and creative industries (CCI) as drivers of economic and social development while reinforcing the indisputable principles of economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
This change responds not only to global needs but also to Menorca’s specific reality, which already has a strong presence of entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises. These businesses, with their capacity for adaptation and innovation, can lead the transition towards a more sustainable and diversified economy.
The transformation of Menorca’s productive model towards one that values and enhances creative wealth while distributing the benefits throughout the territory is not just an opportunity but a necessity to ensure the island’s competitiveness and prosperity in the future. This strategic shift will allow Menorca not only to keep up with global challenges but also to position itself as a benchmark in innovation and creativity on an international scale.
