27 NovAlex Gifreu, born in Menorca in 1971, began studying graphic design in 1989 and founded CRU, a publishing house specialising in artists' books, in 2000. He will show us some of the books, brands and posters he has designed, such as the Talayotic Menorca logo.
Some of his projects have been awarded with more than 100 national and international prizes such as the Art Directors Club of Europe, Prix Bob Calle du livre de artista Paris, Art Directors Club of New York, Type Directors Club of Tokyo, European Design Awards, One Show New York, Laus ADG-FAD, Premios Visual de Diseño de Libros or Premios Daniel Gil de Diseño Editorial.
Specialised in graphics for culture for clients such as Documenta 13, Manifesta 8, TBA 21-Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, FRAC Burgundy, Tate Liverpool, Centre Pompidou Metz, Tapies Foundation, CGAC, Miró Foundation, Venice Biennial, ‘la Caixa’ Foundation, São Paulo Biennial, Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, MACBA, Oslo Biennial, National Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Mapfre Foundation, GfZK Leipzig, MUSAC and the National Centre for Art and Culture of the Basque Country, MUSAC and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía have entrusted him with their graphic identity, editorial design, promotional elements and exhibition design.
