The international expert in islands and sustainable development played a key role in Menorca’s designation as a Biosphere Reserve and, more recently, in the Talayotic Menorca World Heritage candidacy.

Published as part of the “Books on Historical and Cultural Heritage” collection, pays tribute to one of the most prominent figures in the study and dissemination of Menorca’s cultural heritage.

The management functions are temporarily assumed by the Heritage Service of the Consell Insular de Menorca.

The accounts amount to €1,696,815.47 and include actions in management, conservation, and dissemination of the Talayotic heritage.
 

Entre Illes project, "Among Islands", is an initiative promoted by the Friends Association of the Manacor History Museum, with the support of the Consell Insular de Menorca.

Excavation work revealed one of the building’s interior spaces, where archaeologists documented a well-preserved stone pavement, a long bench built against the wall, and a monumental sandstone corner suggesting the existence of an upper floor.

The Torre d’en Galmés Interpretation Centre has been helping visitors better understand Menorca’s most iconic Talayotic settlement for nearly twenty years. Throughout this time, its contents have been progressively updated and improved.

The campaign focused on two main objectives: the study of human remains found inside a dwelling and the investigation of the hearth, the core of prehistoric domestic life.

Archaeological excavation works have recently begun at the main talayot of the Torre d’en Galmés settlement.
