This month we interview Mikel Herrán, archaeologist, researcher and one of the most prominent voices regarding scientific and heritage outreach on social media in Spain.

This month we interview Àngel Roca, author of the book Menorca. Culture of Stone. This publication offers a broad and well-documented overview of the many elements that shape this legacy.

This month we interviewed Josep Bernales Sastre, a social worker and educator. Since 2016, he has held the position of Head of Technical Services at the Sierra de Tramuntana World Heritage Consortium, where he has been involved in the management and protection of this unique cultural landscape, recognized by UNESCO in 2011.

This month, we interview Lluís Pons Livermore, a Menorcan slinger. On March 4, he will embark on a journey to Guam, a Pacific island that also has a long tradition of slingshot throwing. Although there is no direct connection between the prehistory of Menorca and that of Guam, there are some similarities. 

This month, we interview Esperança Frau, a Menorcan teacher and researcher. With her work "The Prehistoric Assets of Talayotic Menorca in Primary Education in the Island’s Schools", she won second place in the 2024 Feliciano Fuster Award, granted by the Ateneu de Maó.

This month, we interview archaeologist Octavio Torres Gomariz, who has just published the book Cercles, l'hàbitat protohistòric de l'illa de Menorca alongside Amalia Pérez-Juez. The book is available online in the repository of the University of Alicante as part of the Petracos Collection from the university’s Institute of Archaeology and Historical Heritage.

This month we interview Menorcan musician and composer Marco Mezquida, who this weekend presents his work Talaiot for the first time in Menorca.

This month we interview Alex Smith, Associate Professor of Anthropology at SUNY Brockport. Since 2020, Alex is the co-director of the Menorca Archaeological Project with Amalia Pérez-Juez, excavating medieval domestic structures at Torre d’en Galmés.

This June we interviewed Llorenç Picornell, archaeologist and researcher of the ArqueoUIB research group of the Department of Historical Sciences and Theory of the Arts of the Universitat de les Illes Balears. He is a specialist in anthracology, which focuses on the analysis of the remains of wood and charcoal recovered in archaeological contexts.

This May we interviewed Mallorcan archaeologist Alejandra Galmés, a specialist in landscape archaeology and the use of geographic information systems in archaeology. She contributed to the preparation of the UNESCO World Heritage Talayotic Menorca dossier.

This April we interviewed Marga Sánchez Romero, archaeologist and vice-rector of University Extension, Heritage and Institutional Relations at the University of Granada, where she is professor of Prehistory in the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology. 

This March we interview Francesc Isbert. He carries out his professional activity in the field of safeguarding and studying Menorcan artistic heritage, painting, sculpture in general, with special dedication to archaeological restoration.
